Shift Managers, Transport Management & relatedOur client is a Global FMCG Distributor and we are delighted to assist them in their search for an experienced Transport professional as they look to recruit a Transport Shift Manager at their site in Wakefield on a 4on, 4off shift basis (0600hrs – 1800hrs), directly responsible for 5 Direct Reports.
Reporting into the Transport Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day running of the busy Transport operation, with a fleet size of c100 units and 200 Drivers.
Key Accountabilities as Transport Shift Manager:
Oversee and manage transport operations for the shift.
Be responsible for the execution of on time and complete deliveries.
Communicate with drivers on a daily basis, maintaining open communication by providing support during the shift.
Undertake salary reviews as required, contributing to fair and competitive compensation structures.
Manages, coaches, and develops the team and his direct reports to improve individual and organisational performance and excel within their line of responsibilities.
The Ideal Person for the Transport Shift Manager role:Commercial awareness. Candidate is required to demonstrate a keen sense of commercial awareness in decision making and day to day operations.
