    Description

    Our Dog Operations team is responsible for delivering the highest standards of animal welfare and care for every dog in their journey through Battersea, from intake, to their care and assessments and then to rehoming.

    We are currently looking to recruit a fixed-term Team Leader for our dog intake team.

    In this role, you will provide frontline leadership and management to a team of Intake Coordinators, Lost and Found Assistants, Lost Dogs and Cates Line Administrator and volunteers, ensuring excellent animal care and welfare standards alongside a high-quality delivery of customer service.

    You will be responsible for overseeing the daily intake of stray and owned dogs, clearly explaining our policies and procedures to our customers, and completing all required documentation.

    You will also lead on regular team meetings, ensuring effective communication, organising rotas and staff cover.

    We are looking for someone with proven experience of successfully motivating, managing and developing a high performing team, including setting clearly defined objectives and managing performance.

    You will need working knowledge of the behaviour of dogs and the challenges they face in a rescue environment with proven experience of providing advice on dog behaviour or training.
