    Description

    Aldwickbury School is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join us on a fixed term contract for 14 months, until the end of the summer term, July 2025. If you have experience of early years' and are available to join us immediately, we want to hear from you.

    What will you be doing?

    You will be supporting boys between the ages of 4 to 7 years old, alongside the class teacher.

    This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with early years' experience and who has the drive, inspiration, and talent to support our youngest learners.

    Who are we looking for?

    You will need to display energy and imagination, with the courage to innovate where necessary, such that a love of learning is evident in the classroom and the boys make good progress.

    You must have a commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and adhere to and comply with the School's Child Protection Policy statement at all times.

    The role

    This is a part time role, working 26.75 hours per week across 3.5 days.

    Who are we?

    Aldwickbury is an independent day and flexi-boarding school for boys located in 20 acres of grounds on the outskirts of Harpenden in Hertfordshire

    As a Pre-Prep and Prep School Aldwickbury currently has a pupil roll of 388 boys aged 4-13 years. Operated as an Educational Trust the School is administered by a Board of Governors and is a member of the Independent Association of Prep Schools (IAPs), the Boarding School Association (BSA) and The Independent School Christian Alliance (TISCA).

    The Pre-Prep Department is in a purpose-built building comprising of nine classrooms and its own enclosed playground. There are up to three forms in each year group; each class has a Form Teacher who takes full responsibility for the academic and pastoral needs of the class. (approximately 14 boys per class)
