    Responsibilities for Quality Engineer
    Root cause analysis
    Implementation of corrective actions
    Use of Quality tools such as SPC, Control Plans and PPAP's
    Support the engineering change process
    Support with new projects throughout the APQP process as plant quality representative.
    Support the other departments with 8D resolution of quality issues
    Requirement for Quality Engineer

    Knowledge of lean manufacturing techniques, such as 5S and Poke Yoke

    Reporting to the Quality Assurance Manager, the Supplier Quality Engineer will design, develop, inspect and improve the quality standards of operational processes and manufacturing outputs.

    Supplier Quality Engineer Candidate Requirements
    Experience in a similar quality role within a manufacturing environment would be a significant advantage.
    HNC/HND or Degree Qualified Mechanical Engineer would be advantageous.
    Membership of Charted Quality Institute would be advantageous.
    Experienced in using ERP systems, and Microsoft Office Suite. Salesforce experience would be advantageous.
    Supplier Quality Engineer Key Responsibilities
    The below will vary, as your training progresses.
    Assist the Quality Team in audit follow-up through to closure of any minor/major NCRs raise during the audit.
    Participate in cross-functional teams to support new product development, quality improvement, and cost savings projects.
    Interact with other departments including suppliers and customers regarding quality matters.

    Be a point of contact when Quality Assistance is required in dealing with manufacturing, supply chain and customer related issues.

    Ensure that Root Cause Analysis is being carried out in a timely manner and to provide support to the rest of the team as required.

    Quality Engineer Responsibilities:
    Conduct both internal IATF, quality & process audits
    Support the engineering change process through weekly meetings and be responsible for APQP requirements.
    Support annual testing schedule for all our products using an external laboratory.
    Support with new projects throughout the APQP process as plant quality representative.
    Support the other departments with 8D resolution of quality issues
    Support manufacturing, co-ordinate internal product/process improvement. Monitor internal scrap and help conduct scrap improvement activities with the plant team.

    Manage supplier certificates of conformity documentation, monitoring and recording data submitted.


    Quality Engineer Duties:

    As part of providing life protecting products, testing and traceability of the products in-process and prior to shipment to customer is hugely important.

    Evolving test hardware and software to support production operations in an effective and efficient manner whilst growing our output is a key.

    The Manufacturing Test Engineer (MTE) will define, develop, implement and improve product test processes and hardware / software in the production environment.

    Forming part of global operations and reporting into the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, the Manufacturing Test Engineer will work cross-functionally with Product Design and Testing, Production and Manufacturing functions and be instrumental in the design and development of product testing processes and equipment from conception through to production support and continuous improvement.

    The Manufacturing Test Engineer will be time served experience in an electro-mechanical manufacturing and production environment, educated to degree level (ideally) in mechanical engineering, electronics, controls or closely related subject matter.

    Experience in electronics and software / hardware design and manufacturing systems design.
    Strong track record in continuous improvement, project management, fault rectification and production support roles
    Demonstrate a flexible, inclusive and pro-active approach to identifying and resolving problems.
    The Manufacturing Test Engineer will be a process led, proactive problem solver, data led and analytical in nature.

    Having good background skills in project, task and prioritisation management and communication you will be able to demonstrate experience in electronics and testing at a practical level, preferably in a similar environment or industry.

    An ability to work and resolve issues within a high-pressure production environment, quickly and accurately is a must.

    Test Definition - Using product and process knowledge to define & develop testing solutions, including hardware / software and process application.

    Reporting and Data – Defining and analysing data capture and information, interpreting results and driving improvement.
    Manage test process adherence and training.
    Hardware / Software Support – Maintenance management, fault resolution, Test system safety and calibration
    Product Testing – Supporting production test processes to understand and resolve test failures.
    New Capability – Support Product development with testing capability and continuous improvements initiatives with global standardisation in mind
