    Description

    Are you an experienced Quality Manager within the automotive sector? Major Recruitment, in partnership with Polytec Group, are looking to recruit a Quality Manager on a permanent basis to join the team based in Telford.

    As a Quality Manager you will manage all quality-related issues within the manufacturing plant (e.g. internal, supplier, customer and customer warranty).

    You will work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues that arise as quickly and efficiently as possible to prevent compromising quality and safety standards.


    Key Responsibilities of a

    Quality Manager:
    Identify root cause and instigate permanent corrective actions for product quality issues
    Ensure compliance and assist with adherence to the Quality Management system (IATF16949/ISO9001)
    Monitor and report on quality – related key performance indicators including scrap monitoring, rework levels and cost of poor quality
    Work with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues that arise as quickly and efficiently as possible to prevent compromising quality and safety standards
    Experience at Quality Management level
    Plastic and Paint background with a strong knowledge of aesthetic finishes
    Automotive OEM knowledge – JLR/ Bentley an advantage
    Understanding of financial impacts and able to manage budgets
    Strong Knowledge of management systems (IATF16949 / VDA / ISO) and core quality tools (PPAP, APQP, FMEA)
    Data driven with a technical and analytical mindset
    IT literate, able to work confidently with Microsoft Office (e-mail, Word, Excel, etc).
