    Job Title:
    Director of Learning (Specialising in English)

    Location:
    B42 Area, Secondary School

    Position Type:
    Full-Time, Long-Term

    Start Date:
    Immediate (Willing to Postpone for the Right Candidate)

    We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Director of Learning with a specialisation in English to join our dedicated team at a secondary school in the B42 area.

    This is a full-time, long-term position with an immediate start date, though we are willing to delay for the ideal candidate.


    Curriculum
    Leadership:

    Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of the English curriculum, ensuring it meets the educational standards and needs of our students.


    Teaching Excellence:
    Demonstrate outstanding teaching practices, inspiring and engaging students in the subject of English.
    Provide guidance and professional development to English teachers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team.
    Monitor and support student progress and achievement in English, implementing strategies to address any areas of concern.

    Resource Management:
    Efficiently manage departmental resources, including budget allocations, teaching materials, and technology.

    Community Engagement:
    Build strong relationships with parents, caregivers, and the wider community to support student learning and development.

    Compliance:
    Ensure the department adheres to all relevant educational policies, standards, and regulations.
    A Bachelor's degree in English or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant teaching qualifications (e.g.

    , Experience:

    Proven experience in teaching English at the secondary level, with a strong track record of improving student outcomes.

    Leadership:
    Previous experience in a leadership or management role within an educational setting is preferred.
