    Description

    Inclusive Consulting is thrilled to be collaborating with our partner in Sheffield to find an experienced Estimator. The company specializes in customized commercial interior solutions and is seeking an Estimator to join their expanding team due to growth.

    You will play a key role in accurately predicting project costs, creating budgets, and ensuring competitiveness in bids. Your responsibilities include evaluating project specifications, working with stakeholders, and maintaining records for effective cost management. You will be skilled at identifying risks and suggesting strategies to keep projects within budget.

    This position is crucial for the financial planning and execution of projects. Your expertise will be vital in assessing project costs, maintaining competitiveness, and supporting successful completion of refurbishment and interior construction projects.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct detailed assessments to determine costs for refurbishment and interior construction projects, considering materials, labor, equipment, and other factors.
    • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to develop comprehensive budgets and forecasts aligned with project goals.
    • Stay informed about market trends, pricing changes, and competitor tactics to enhance profitability.
    • Identify potential risks in cost estimates to minimize financial impacts and ensure project success.
    • Participate in client meetings, offering transparent cost estimates to build trust and secure contracts.
    • Continuously improve estimation methodologies, tools, and processes to optimize efficiency.
    • Communicate with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to obtain competitive pricing and ensure timely delivery.
    • Maintain accurate cost estimate records, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
    • Prepare reports summarizing cost estimates, budget performance, and project status for stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.

    Key Skills and Attributes:

    • Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, construction management, or related field.
    • Proven experience as an estimator, proficient in cost estimation software and advanced Excel.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication skills for articulating cost estimates and negotiating effectively.
    • Attention to detail and accuracy in estimating project costs.
    • Collaborative mindset for effective teamwork and positive relationships.

    This position offers a salary of up to £50,000 DOE plus a comprehensive benefits package.
