    Plant Manager

    Location: Ayr
    Employment Type: Salaried
    Department: QLD MASONRY AYR PLANT MANAGER

    Brickworks, a prominent name in the building products industry, is in search of a motivated Plant Manager to be part of our masonry manufacturing plant team in Ayr, Queensland.

    As the Plant Manager, you will report to the North Queensland Regional Manager and oversee the plant's activities to optimize resources, reduce costs, and uphold safety, quality, and customer service standards.

    This position plays a key role in ensuring operational efficiency and continuous enhancement of personnel, systems, and the plant itself.

    Duties include, but are not limited to:

    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and implement WH&S initiatives.
    • Develop production and maintenance schedules, raw material needs, and inventory levels.
    • Improve processes, productivity, quality, and cost control.
    • Efficient procurement, warehousing, and distribution of goods.
    • Establish quality standards and controls for production.
    • Manage production plans to optimize inventory.
    • Manage maintenance of buildings, plant, and equipment.
    • Promote positive relationships with employees and unions.

    Success Requirements:

    • Bachelor's in Engineering or related field preferred.
    • 5-10 years' experience in manufacturing site management.
    • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficient in project management and ERP programs.
    • Experience in budget management and P&L.
