Role overview The purpose of the role is to establish and ensure ongoing compliance with all statutory, regulatory, legislative and fiduciary duties. Full entity responsibility will include (but not be limited to): Month-end close (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow); budget preparation; implementation of a new Internal Controls Framework; management of inter-company balances and cost recharges; achievement of Working Capital targets; and coordination of timely statutory accounts preparation, audit work and tax submissions. The Financial Controller will work closely with the Financial Shared Service Centre (FSSC), both onshore and offshore, whose role is to deliver all operational and transactional activities for the entities. Responsibilities & Key Accountabilities
    • Manage all financial aspects of the central service entities to ensure timely and accurate accounting and reporting. Streamline entity recharge processes and reset/update allocation mechanisms.
    • Build analytical review of monthly entity Actuals (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow) and, working in a matrix environment, lead the annual preparation of 5-year budgets.
    • Coordinate the preparation, review, sign-off and submission of statutory accounts and all tax returns. Drive completion of external audit reviews.
    • Ensure adherence to the Internal Controls Framework, ensuring that all necessary controls and reconciliations are in place. Ensure controls are effective.
    • Ensure clear accountabilities and ways of working with the Financial Shared Service Centre (FSSC).
    What you'll bring
    • Qualified Finance professional (ACA, ACCA)
    • Autonomous and able to assume end-to-end accountability for role scope
    • Expert knowledge of filing commitments (including tax)
    • Experience of consolidation work
    • Comfortable working at pace and able to take an agile approach
    • Results-orientated & sense of urgency
    • Highly analytical
    • Strong prioritisation skills
    • Ability to build effective relationships at all levels, both internally and externally
    • Effective team player who demonstrates passion for making a positive difference
    • Technical accounting acumen & experience
    • Min. 5 years PQE
    • Relevant experience/role working in a global corporate environment
