We are seekinga talented and experienced Senior Frontend Engineer to join ourteam. This position requires demonstrable experience in ReactNextJS and TypeScript. You will be responsible for Development inTypeScript/React/NextJS of new and existing components applyfrontend development best practices and work very closely with theUX & Design Lead ensuring a great customers userexperience.

Responsibilities:

Developmentof new and existing react (NextJS)components
Helpmaintaining our Storybook componentlibrary
Optimisationof website performancemetrics
Applicationof React & frontend development bestpractices
Workingwith our Product team on user stories breakdown for frontendprojects
Contributeto all our Scrumceremonies
Workingvery closely with the UX & Design Lead ensuring a greatcustomers userexperience
Technicalmentoring of and knowledge sharing with other frontendengineers

Requirements

5years of professional experience with frontend technologies focusedon TypeScript React HTML/CSSNextJS
Greatknowledge of GraphQL Storybook Git and GitHubbased workflows (orsimilar)
Goodexperience with building and refining workflows includingcontinuous deployment techniques pull request reviews/pairprogramming scrumprocesses
An eyefor design and a feel for good UX along with our Lead designer youwill be responsible for maintaining a great web presence forTravelLocal
Greatwritten English and communication skills in a remotefirstenvironment particularly around documentation of your workcommunication of releases and progress of projects tostakeholders
Aproactive attitude to learning and knowledge sharing particularlyaround pull request reviews and individual mentoring to ensureeveryone on the team is able to contribute and keepgrowing
Passionateabout teamwork and experience collaborating with colleagues bothinternally and from otherteams.
Workingexperience with writing automatedtests.
Understandingof internationalisation and localisationtechniques
