    media Digital Analytics Team is seeking an experienced Digital Analytics Implementation Specialist who thrives on challenge; working within a fast-paced environment – to support data acquisition and measurement across a range of platforms (Web, Apps & Third Party) across brands comprising the
    dmg:
    media Group; including the world's biggest news site MailOnline.

    As a critical member of the highly ambitious analytics team, you'll play an important role in making sure the business has the data they need to drive relentless online traffic growth.

    You'll be responsible for contributing and delivering the roadmap for digital measurement and ensuring the acquisition of quality data -having full technical ownership of our core web analytics platform (Google Analytics 360 – UA & GA4) across the full range of our websites and mobile applications (IOS and Android).

    You'll be a subject matter expert for all things tracking, providing your expertise to the Analytics team, wider technical functions, and business stakeholders.

    The role has scope to extend across a wider range of disparate data sources and suppliers (1 st and 3rd party) – to ensure an effective and holistic data acquisition and measurement paradigm.

    Main Responsibilities Accountable for implementing and managing Google Analytics tracking across the range of our websites and apps.

    Contribute to a range of projects and ongoing enhancements, as well as working with teams across DMG:

    Media to ensure accurate measurement of our products.

    Provide quality assurance on all implemented tracking to ensure accurate measurement, identify data collection issues, suggest improvements and work to implement fixes.

    Knowledge of automated testing and how it can be useful within an organisation.

    Work with the team of analysts to best define tracking specifications, in line with the business needs and reporting requirements.

    Work with Developers & Data Engineers and QA Teams to ensure the technical requirements/specifications for tracking and measurement are communicated, actioned, and implemented.

    Responsible for ensuring data is captured in line with our digital ethics and data governance requirements.

    Keep up to date with industry trends and ensure best practice implementation methods – to lead the Digital team on analytics upgrades and improvements to platforms, such as GA4.

    Work with senior stakeholders, liaise with third party agencies to prioritise work and communicate changes. Operate in a fast-paced environment where you will be responsible for driving multiple analytics solution design projects in parallel. Maintain robust documentation for Properties & Data Streams with Event Naming, Event Parameters & Expected Values.

    Person Specification Demonstrable expert-level knowledge of configuring Google Analytics 360 / GA4 accounts and properties - implementing custom dimensions and metrics.

    5+ years of Web Analytics hands-on experience with implementation expertise, using Google Analytics. Demonstrable expertise in leading GA4 implementations is especially desirable. Working knowledge of Firebase Analytics. Experience with tag management systems such as Google Tag Manager as well as Server-side Tagging using sGTM. Experience in data visualization tools such as Google Data Studio Working knowledge with BigQuery advantageous. Demonstrable knowledge of client-side development in JavaScript, HTML and front-end debugging.

    Strong interpersonal skills - experience of dealing with multiple stakeholders at all levels of the group, while coordinating multiple teams, and external agencies/providers.

    Excellent with Data testing for reliability and accuracy.

    Experience in developing measurement plans and tagging strategies, as well as the ability to QA web tracking implementations using various tools and techniques.

    Experience of managing and maintaining GDPR-compliant deployments, including Google Consent Mode. Critical thinker, with prioritizing and problem-solving skills. Experience and ability in training teams/end users in the effective use of GA4 is also desirable.

    This is not a fully remote role, successful candidate will be required to work from our Derry Street premises one day a week (Tuesdays)
