    Description
    As a market leader in the manufacture of pumps we require a driven Area Sales Manager / Account Manager, ideally with experience of technical or solution sales, to develop our increasing sales focussing on the South East of the UK


    BASIC SALARY: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum

    Overview:

    This is a Field Sales / Account Manager role that offers you the opportunity to take on a territory sales role where your technical / engineering industry experience will be utilised.

    We will also welcome applications from Internal Sales professionals who are looking for their first step into field sales. Using your tenacity and drive in approaching and engaging with clients.

    As our Area Sales Manager / Account Manager you will:

    • Manage and grow your sales territory by building on existing relationships and developing new business.
    • Split your time between account management (60%) and new business development (40%).
    • Have experience of selling into the nuclear, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries.
    • Use your technical acumen to provide solution-based sales.

    PERSON SPECIFICATION: Area Sales Manager, Account Manager, Technical Sales Manager, Business Development Manager - Pumps / Chemical

    We would be delighted to receive applications from sales professionals with proven business development skills, who have experience of selling technical / engineering solutions; a driven sales professional, keen to roll up their sleeves in an autonomous role.



    You will:

    • Have some kind of exposure to the pump / fluid handling system sector.
    • Have influencing skills and a persuasive manner with the ability to get others to 'buy in' to you.
    • Be an effective Field Sales / Account Manager maximising upon every opportunity, developing strong relationships with our existing and potential clients.
    • Understand the importance of regularly updating our CRM system with accuracy and detail.
    • Have technical / engineering knowledge and the ability to impart your knowledge confidently to our customers.

    Training & Development:

    Extensive training will be given in relation to our technical product range and solutions.

    It is highly likely you will have worked in any of the following roles and/or markets and worked with the following products and/or services: Account Manager, Area Sales Manager, Territory Manager, Business Development Manager, Field Sales Executive, Sales Engineer, Technical Sales, Regional Sales Manager, Internal Sales Engineer - chemical, manufacturing, valves, BVAA, pump installation, wastewater, oil, gas, pharmaceutical, petroleum, food, and nuclear Industries.

    BPMA, liquid pumps, pumping supplies and equipment, pump solutions, fluid handling systems, fluid handing solutions.
