    Executive Support Assistant

    We are seeking to recruit a part time Executive Support Assistant to provide effective and comprehensive executive assistance and business support to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and Extended Senior Leadership Team by ensuring the Senior Officer is able to effectively perform their role. Your main office base will be Guildhall 2, Kingston, with an expectation that you may be called on to work from our offices in Richmond. We operate a hybrid model, where your working week will be a combination of working from home and being office based.

    The salary shown is the FTE, as this role is part-time the salary will be pro-rata.

  • About the role

    To be a Executive Support Assistant for AfC, you will be passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of children and young people as well as demonstrating the following points:

  • To act as the first point of contact for the SLT and ESLT respond to incoming communications of a sensitive or confidential nature. Using own discretion; resolve issues and enquiries on behalf of the officers.
  • Calendar management for appointments and administration of meetings, including taking minutes for meetings, maintaining action lists and ensuring that staff complete tasks as required.
  • Touch type quickly and accurately, sometimes from dictation, documentation and correspondence, producing high quality emails and letters to an advanced level in response to general enquiries as well as documents and conference/presentation material.
  • Supporting SLT members with the preparation and despatch of Council reports, consultation documents, working party papers as required.
  • To provide cover and additional capacity when required for other Personal Assistants and Business Support Officers as directed by the Business Support Team Manager.
