    Description
    Senior Mechanical Engineering Manager

    Salary:
    £50,000 - £60,000Location: Surrey I'm currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Mechanical Building Services Manager to work for an international organisation specialises in commercial offices, government buildings, and cultural landmarks. You can work for a company that has an annual turnover of £130m and be surrounded by industry experts that help you advance your career. As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, ranging from commercial buildings to healthcare facilities. You will be responsible for coordinating with internal and external teams, reviewing design documents, and providing technical expertise throughout the project lifecycle. Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and building codes.


    Your Responsibilities:
    Preparing feasibility studies and recommendations. Scoping and presenting reports. Assist the project QS in determining the MEP scope for estimating the works. Undertake surveys, design and specification services.

    Respecting and help delivering services in accordance with best practice (and all legislation) in relation to asbestos, health and safety etc.

    Taking personal responsibility for service delivery. Interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages. Ensuring that key information and learning generated from each commission is input into the internal database. Assisting with new technology for data capture and reporting. Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.


    Essential Experience:

    Post graduate Mechanical design experience with an understanding of electrical services allowing the effective project management of MEP projects.

    HNC/HND, Degree or equivalent, with relevant experience in building services Mechanical engineering discipline including LTHW/CHW/DHW, BCWS, sprinklers, ventilation and drainage systems.

    Experience in use of design software including IES, Hevacomp, etc.

    Design experience with either a consultant or contractor up to stage 4 level of detail, including drawings, specifications, and schedules.

    May be required legislatively to maintain a professional qualification or competency. Proven ability to establish and maintain highly effective working relationships with range of stakeholders.

    Educated to minimum of HNC / HND or degree level and ideally working towards membership of I Mech E or CIBSE.
