Inverclyde HSCP Head of Mental Health, Addictions - Greenock, United Kingdom - NHS Scotland
Description
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.
When considering your next career move, you want to be certain that you are committing your knowledge and skills to a place where your work can make a real difference. In Inverclyde, this role really matters. With the complex challenges of a post-industrial setting, compounded by the disproportionate impact of the pandemic, Inverclyde is a place where high levels of deprivation and need present complex, but rewarding professional challenges.
As part of Inverclyde's Health & Social Care Partnership you will play the lead role in the development and delivery of services to those affected by mental health, addiction or homelessness. You'll work closely with colleagues and partner organisations to ensure a cohesive and effective approach to supporting some of our most vulnerable residents and ensure that their lived experience informs and enhances what we do.
It's essential that whoever takes on this role has a true appreciation of the complexity of delivery in this type of work; and can work with others to redesign services with creativity that is rooted in pragmatism. You'll measure success in positive outcomes for people, greater integration in provision models and a governance model that supports well-managed risk, and positions service users' interests at the centre of all we do.
Your professional background could be within Health or Social Care; or you may be working within a third sector setting. Whatever your own background, you should bring a breadth of perspective of how the whole system works together, and where there are opportunities for improvement. It's also important that you can demonstrate considerable experience in managing teams and budgets.
Please apply for the post via the link below, thank you.
