    Description

    EssenceMediacom fuses Essence's performance, data, analytics and creative technology DNA with MediaCom's scaled multichannel audience planning and strategic media expertise.

    EssenceMediacomX sits within the legacy Essence building on Oxford Street. Our clients include many exciting brands such as Google, ITV, Airbnb, BT/EE, NBCUniversal and L'Oréal to name a few.

    We are looking for a sharp, charismatic and highly driven person to take on a key role as one of our Planning Managers, based out of the Oxford Street office in London for Airbnb.

    From strategy, into media planning and delivery of high-performance brand campaigns across a range of verticals.

    You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day the EMEA business across a number of core markets (from the UK, FR, DE, IT, ES, CH, NL and BE), working hand-in-hand with our local network as well as staying close to the Global account team who are based in North America.

    As a manager, you will also be playing a central role in our EMX EMEA Planning team, delivering outstanding marketing campaigns for Airbnb, as well as supporting wider business initiatives.

    We're proud to have the Airbnb account at EssenceMediacom since 2019.

    We won the account in 2019 when we looked after five global markets and our media budget was under $400M globally .

    in '24 we'll be looking after 20 markets (8 in EMEA) and our global media budget will be over $600M.

    With the business growing we are looking to bring new leadership skills to help both our teams and clients navigate this change and growth, identify new opportunities to deliver breakthroughs and drive efficiencies, while continuing to strengthen our relationship.

    The regional media and marketing are UK based, have strong relationships with the agency and often join our team and work from our offices.

    Simple, clear communication

    Support senior media planners to manage tasks within the team, working more independently on smaller campaigns and liaising closely on larger projects.

    Conduct research to determine and support planning recommendations.
    Maintain the testing plans and supporting material.
    Collate and quality assure in-channel Activation reports, and develop insights and recommendations for the weekly cross-channel report.
    Contribute in client presentations and manage relationships with junior clients.
    Take responsibility for the collaboration and delivery of creative specs .
    Train and manage Media Planning Execs to deliver high quality outputs.
    Understanding of industry standard media research tools (e.g. Sound written and verbal communication skills, with the desire to learn and advance.
    Excellent organizational skills, close attention to detail and ability to quality control work.
    Experience with planning activity for emerging markets is beneficial
    Motivate junior team members, leading by example while teaching new skills.
    Proven experience in media at Senior Executive level, with solid understanding of the principles of marketing and advertising.
