    The new School of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Central Lancashire is an international, research-active institution, the first facility of its kind to open in the county.

    You will be joining a talented team who are leading the way in modern learning today, committed to widening access and participation in veterinary education.

    The school is developing further research activities and postgraduate teaching opportunities, along with bespoke teaching and research environments. Collaboration with internal and external research networks is encouraged.

    Working in state-of-the-art facilities alongside an international team of experienced veterinarians and animal scientists, you'll lead on designing and delivering innovative teaching while providing outstanding support to students throughout their journey.

    For all Veterinary Lecturer roles, you will be given the learning and mentoring support needed to accelerate your development as an academic.

    Whilst this is a full-time position, applications from applicants seeking a part-time role (minimum 0.This is an exciting new opportunity for a veterinary surgeon who is enthusiastic about training the next generation of veterinary surgeons in small mammal, exotic, and wildlife clinical skills, medicine and surgery.

    Based primarily at our Preston campus as part of the academic team, you will be responsible for delivering teaching and assessment around all aspects of exotics education, including the handling and clinical assessment of a wide variety of non-traditional-companion animals housed within our partner institution, Myerscough University Centre.

    Further off-campus teaching both at Myerscough and our clinical associate veterinary practices is also likely as our students progress through their education.

    A veterinary degree
    A sound knowledge and practical experience of veterinary sciences including small mammal, exotic, and wildlife medicine and clinical skills
    Higher education teaching qualification or professional (e.g., A relevant postgraduate qualification or equivalent clinical specialisation
