    Description

    We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Project Surveyor to join Wates as part of our Wates Living Space Planned Maintenance team in London. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of pre and post-contract strategies, commercial functions, and contract reporting.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and motivate project team performance to ensure the successful execution and periodic review of Wates' primary contractual obligations and strategies
    • Prepare and deliver monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVR) and progress reports
    • Demonstrate comprehension of internal and external tender strategies and build-up
    • Agree on external valuations and cash flow optimization for project value maximization
    • Collaborate with the Commercial Manager to establish and finalize main and subcontract accounts
    • Ensure thorough completion of all Wates subcontract management obligations relating to Procurement, Measurement, valuation, Contractual instructions, notices, orders, and Health and Safety

    To excel in this role, you need to possess relevant commercial skills and experience, including the ability to enhance value recovery, manage costs effectively, and handle cash efficiently. Additionally, you should be adept at interpreting financial reports and final accounts.


    Moreover, you must be a proficient communicator, capable of building and nurturing relationships with clients, Project Surveyors, the design team, and the supply chain. Displaying a commitment to leading and cultivating commercial site teams is also essential.


    This position will involve a blend of office and on-site work, with some opportunities for remote work.
