    Description
    The Job Title:

    Join our team as a Quantity Surveyor / Bid Manager at our Dartford Head Office. We are looking for a proactive individual to play a key role in our tendering and project management processes.


      Your main responsibilities as Quantity Surveyor include:
    • Leading the tender preparation for various projects with attention to technical and financial requirements.
    • Working closely with the project team to develop effective bid strategies.
    • Reviewing tender documents to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
    • Identifying risks and proposing value engineering solutions.
    • Analyzing tender returns, cost estimates, pricing strategies, and profitability assessments.
    • Preparing detailed quantity take-offs and cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment.
    • Managing project budgets, tracking costs, and maintaining cost control.
    • Providing timely cost-value reconciliations and reports to project stakeholders.
    • Building and managing relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors.
    • Reviewing subcontractor quotes and negotiating terms.
    • Generating accurate reports, financial summaries, risk assessments, and progress reports.
    • Keeping detailed records of bid-related documentation and correspondence.
    • Staying informed of industry regulations, standards, and best practices for compliance.
    • Ensuring adherence to health and safety guidelines.


      Qualifications and Skills Required:
    • Professional qualifications in the relevant field.
    • Experience in bid management and quantity surveying in the mechanical and electrical contracting industry.
    • Understanding of technical and financial aspects of M&E projects.
    • Proficiency in estimation software and project management tools.
    • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
    • Attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure.
    • Knowledge of regulations and industry standards.
    • Strong writing skills and familiarity with PQQ's.
