We think that is quite excitingWhen welcoming new people to our team we are always looking for opportunities to bring in new ideas, those who ask the challenging questions and have the curiosity to learn.

These qualities are important to us as we innovate solutions, seize more opportunities to partner with our customers and make a difference as we collaborate to innovate the future of video.

Our values connect us. Our diversity gives us strength. Our curiosity inspires creativity.

If that sounds like the place, you would like to be then we look forward to hearing more from you.

Role Overview Synamedia is looking for a Director of Business Applications who is committed to a service lead culture and thrives as a participative leader who is hands-on with the team, is directly engaged in projects and is committed to actively contribute to achieving Synamedia's business goals.

This is not a role for someone who relishes being in an ivory tower, obsesses about oversight or who views team empowerment as high level-guidance.

At Synamedia, we like to be scrappy – so our leaders 'do'. It helps us move faster, maximise talent and unlock problems quickly and efficiently. As the Director of Business Applications, your role is crucial.

We have three core business units with competing and demanding priorities, and you will be key to understanding the needs, evaluating common ground, and translating intended outcomes into a technical solution that can be implemented successfully and adopted fully:
benefiting our business units and the organization.

Additional core responsibilities are outlined below:
Responsibilities Lead a team of application developers and analysts, fostering an agile, collaborative, and innovative work environment.

Oversee the selection, improvement, implementation, adoption, and maintenance of business application solutions that cater to the needs of each of our business units.

Lead Synamedia's business data governance, integration, and transformation programme to mature the use of data and process across the application ecosystem.

Collaborate and build trusted relationships with key business stakeholders to understand business requirements, prioritise competing demands and translate them into effective technical solutions.

Oversee the design, development, and support of business application systems, ensuring their functionality, reliability, and security.
Monitor the performance of business applications, identifying and addressing any issues or inefficiencies in a timely manner.
Manage the budget and resources related to business application development and maintenance, ensuring cost-effective and efficient operations.
Establish and drive best practices and standards for application development, data management, and system integration.
Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on performance, progress, and challenges related to business applications.

Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in business application technologies, recommending and implementing relevant improvements and updates as needed.

Personal AttributesWe think this role would be perfect for someone looking for their next step in business applications leadership, and has the following experience:

Extensive experience in business applications management with a background in enterprise-level business applications, processes, solutioning and design within a SaaS organisation.

Great communication skills and collaborative nature, with the ability to collaborate effectively to drive win-win with cross-functional teams and senior management and executives.

Excellent understanding of software development life cycle and agile methodologies.

Outcome focussed and obsessed around the details of integrity and security of data, data integration, and reporting across applications including key measures of the effectiveness of our business applications.

Strong business acumen and savvy to understand various business functions and the ability to align technology solutions with their goals.

Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor a team of application developers and analysts.
Solid problem-solving skills and the ability to make strategic decisions to drive business growth and innovation.

Strong technical expertise and Familiarity with a wide range of business applications and technologies as well as emerging trends in various business application platforms, such as ERP, CRM, and HRIS systems.

Technical experience of the Dynamics 365 ecosystem would be beneficial.
Knowledge of compliance standards related to business application systems.

You are a manager that enjoys working directly with the team, supporting their growth, maximising their potential, and aligning them to your vision for business applications that is underpinned by a service culture.

Ability to lead and motivate and team, foster innovation and adapt to evolving business needs swiftly and effectively.
You see feedback and experiences as an opportunity to grow, improve and strengthen your impact.

A Culture of BelongingWe want to let you know that Synamedia is committed to promoting a diverse and inclusive community - a place where we can all be ourselves and succeed.

We offer a range of family friendly, inclusive employment policies, flexible working arrangements, engagement activities and services to support all our people.
