- Engage with clients to understand their technical requirements and challenges, providing expert advice on integrating Microsoft Cloud solutions and licensing.
- Assist clients with questions about their Azure environment, including but not limited to: licensing, charges, and subscription management
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop technical proposals, presentations, and demonstrations that showcase the value and capabilities of our products and services.
- Provide detailed descriptions of Azure services such as Azure Virtual Desktop, networking, and storage blobs
- Stay updated on the latest Microsoft Cloud services, licensing models, and industry trends to effectively communicate the benefits and features to clients.
- Provide clear and concise explanations of all Microsoft offerings both in Office 365 and Azure.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing technical inquiries, and serving as a trusted advisor throughout the sales process.
- Work closely with in-house Microsoft architects and engineers to ensure a seamless transition from pre-sales to implementation, providing valuable insights for successful project delivery.
- Develop and deliver training sessions for the sales team to enhance their technical understanding of products and services. Contribute to the creation of technical documentation for internal and external use.
- Bachelor's degree in information systems, business, or other related disciplines.
- 3+ years of experience in a Sales Engineer or similar technical pre-sales role within the IT industry, preferably with a focus on Microsoft Cloud solutions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Cloud services, perpetual licensing models, and associated technologies.
- Proficiency with the Azure infrastructure and services
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong customer service orientation, committed to understanding and meeting clients' needs.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and technical teams.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, adapting to changes and evolving business requirements.
- Microsoft certifications are preferred (e.g., MS-900, AZ-900, AZ-104, etc.).
- Experience working with medium and enterprise-sized businesses in diverse industries.
- Additional certifications related to security, such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals.
- Project management certifications or experience, showcasing the ability to handle complex projects from pre-sales to implementation.
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally.
- Experience with optimizing Azure environments to cut costs
- Ability to decipher and explain different Azure services and their charge models
