    Job Description: Ecommerce Trading Manager (Fixed Term mid June Sept 2025)

    Overview:

    As our largest channel this role plays a pivotal role in optimising the website conversion rate, customer experience, consistent adherence to brand standards and driving sales. Collaboration with cross-functional teams including marketing, merchandising and customer service will be essential to ensure alignment with overall business objectives.

    Together with the marketing team this role implements the broadcast and automated email campaigns and ideally has a good understanding of Meta and Google organic and paid activity. The website is a Magento2 / Adobe Cloud site manged via an outsourced development agency and liaising with our tech partners to ensure all services are running smoothly is also part of the role.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Sales and Performance Analysis: Using a combination of data sources including GA, Ometria and Magento analyse the customer onsite behaviour and key ecommerce performance metrics and sales trends to identify opportunities for improvement and inform decision-making.
    • Merchandising Optimisation: Implement onsite merchandising strategies to ensure effective product presentation. SEO optimisation on the journal, landing pages and product pages together with regular homepage and banner changes to drive conversion rates and average order value. Manage pricing during promotional windows and work with merchandising to ensure continued availability of best sellers
    • Cross-functional Collaboration: Be an active member of the weekly trading meetings with marketing, merchandising and product development to suggest ideas and align ecommerce trading activities with broader business strategies and initiatives.
    • Website Management: Strong project management skills to manage third party vendors and getting speedy resolutions to any bugs is important. Manage the ecommerce assistant to oversee website functionality, user experience, and navigation to ensure a seamless online shopping experience for customers. Ensure links with Trustpilot, live chat and other third parties are constantly updated and review new modules as required.
    • Promotional Planning and Execution: Together with marketing and merchandising execute promotional campaigns, including discounts, offers, and product launches, to drive traffic and sales.
    • Paid and Organic Digital Marketing oversight: Together with our marketing team and digital marketing agency review the performance of the ads and bidding strategies to brief new creatives to improve and optimise performance.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field.
    • Proven experience in ecommerce trading, merchandising, or online retail management.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, draw insights, and make data-driven decisions.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and influence stakeholders.
    • Proficiency in ecommerce platforms, web analytics tools, and Microsoft Excel. Knowledge of Magento2, Ometria, Global-e is a plus.
    • Strong understanding of SEO, SEM, and digital marketing principles.
    • Knowledge of ecommerce best practices, trends, and technologies.
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities and business needs.

    This role will suit a highly organised individual who is comfortable manipulating data but also passionate about driving a strong visual experience to maximise sales and also offering customers the best possible experience. As a team of 15 across ecomm, marketing, brand and product we are a small but high achieving team so this role suits someone used to rolling up sleeves and making things happen.
