    Our client, a leading society publisher, requires aHead of Sales and Marketing for a 12-month maternity contract.

    Reporting directly to the Managing Director you will be part of the senior management team, working alongside the Head of Editorial & Production.

    This role will lead a small sales and marketing team and are responsible for the Subscribe to Open, Read and Read & Publish journals income, book sales as well as structuring and delivering alternative revenue streams.

    This role has responsibility for the digital platforms and is the lead for any GDPR queries.

    You will be responsible for driving future-proofing strategies for the business by forming and driving alternative revenue streams through new Read & Publish deals alongside the Key accounts Manager.

    You will also be responsible for managing the agents and ensuring their performance is good and in line with any SLAs set.

    You will be responsible for gathering and analysing comprehensive data on sales and marketing performance while providing leadership and mentorship within the team.

    You will also manage the marketing spend, budget and activities and report on the ROI and performance of all activities.

    The preferred candidate will come with a background in STM or Academic journals and books.

    You must be numerical and great with excel as well as being able to read data.
