    Description

    In return you will be expected to monitor/manage a large sterile service contract for Heartlands, Good Hope and Solihull which serves 35 Theatres and Ward & Departments for UHB.

    You will understand the importance of excellent customer service and team working.

    You will put into practice at all times the training that you receive which will be specific to the role and includes awareness of infection control and how the medical device are designed and used.

    The Assistant Sterile services manager post is 37.The role will be required to have experience in the full duties of a sterile service departments and a Decontamination unit that hold Quality Standards.

    Educated to Diploma level or equivalent professional qualification, Administration level or equivalent experience Level 2/3 Healthcare scientist.
    *Evidence of further academic/personal development
    *Theoretical and practical knowledge of commercial, industrial and contract management, including associated legislation and regulation.
    *Quality systems
    *Management experience at a line manager level
    *Experience of contract and project management.
    *Experience of delivering training and education programmes to all staff.
    *Experience in improving service delivery and customer care.
    *Experience of developing/ reviewing and implementing policies, practices and procedures.
    *Experience in managing services and commercial contracts.
    *Experience of undertaking risk assessments and implementing risk control measures.
    *Experience of developing and delivering training programmes.
    *Experience of writing reports, analysing data and presenting findings.

    • 6 years + working in a Sterile service department.
    *TVQ/NVQ in Sterile services

    Flexible to meet the needs of the service.
    *Able to travel between sites as and when required to meet operational requirements.
