Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a school in Leighton Buzzard.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and emotional development of students, ensuring an inclusive and positive learning environment.

Responsibilities:

Classroom Support:
Provide assistance to the classroom teacher in implementing lesson plans and facilitating the learning process.

Individualized Support:
Work one-on-one or in small groups with students who require additional academic or behavioral support.

Inclusion Support:
Foster an inclusive environment for students with special educational needs, promoting their participation in mainstream classroom activities.

Behavior Management:
Implement and reinforce behavior management strategies to create a positive and supportive atmosphere within the classroom.

Resource Preparation:
Assist in the preparation and organization of learning materials, ensuring a well-equipped and engaging learning environment.

Communication:

Maintain open and effective communication with teachers, parents, and other support staff to ensure a collaborative approach to student development.

Progress Monitoring:
Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and contributing to individualized education plans (IEPs).

Safety and Wellbeing:
Ensure the safety and wellbeing of students, actively promoting a positive and respectful school culture

Qualifications:
Minimum of 6 months of relevant experience working in a UK educational setting.
NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in Support Staff in Schools (desired).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Passion for supporting the educational development of students.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team
