- Manage projects and initiatives to deliver the MDJV SEE Plan and agreed project targets, particularly in relation to:
- Schools, including through work experience programmes and T' levels
- Pre-employment programmes to support access to the labour market
- Ensure that reporting on all SEE activities is provided to HS2 through agreed processes to quarterly deadlines (PMU 6 / Common Data Ingestion Platform) and other ad-hoc reports on SEE performance.
- Develop and build working relationships with local schools and FE / HE sector
- Support the Commercial team to ensure that SEE requirements and targets are embedded in all subcontracts
- Provide support, advice / guidance and training to sub-contractors to ensure that their performance contributes to the MDJV targets, both in relation to SEE and Community Investment
- Periodically update or inform the SEE process in project Quality Management System
- Ensure that the Stakeholder Record Management system is regularly updated and provides a clear summary of current discussions with external stakeholders.
- Work with Community & Engagement Lead to identify opportunities to deliver Community Investment in line with the MDJV Community Investment Plan
- Manage volunteering across the MDJV and sub-contractors
- Work with the Communications Manager to create copy for communications including e/bulletins, newsletters and participate in updating community meetings.
- Work with EDI lead in promoting fairness, dignity & respect on the Project and the ER Manager to ensure that supply chain is engaged with and involved in SEE initiatives
- Regularly update any SEE staff in either of the Mace or Dragados parent companies.

Job Summary
The Social Value Manager will play a key role in developing and delivering the project's Social Value programme, with a particular focus on Skills, Education and Employment and achieving the targets agreed with HS2 / set out in WI 2100. The role holder will manage initiatives developed for the project / with HS2 or contribute to projects managed by key stakeholders. The role will support the SEE & EDI Lead, the wider project in managing relationships with key stakeholders and in achieving the Undertakings & Assurances / project commitments and HS2 Key Performance Indicators.
