Description

KVH Industries Inc are seeking to recruit a member of the Global Finance Team, to be based in
central Leeds. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will be ACCA
Qualified (or similar), with a strong audit/accounting background, with a desire to develop within
a fast paced and high performing Finance Team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned):

Preparation and ownership of Operating Expenditure for a NASDAQ listed entity, and

associated internal reporting, (approx. USD $40m per annum).

Ensuring OpEx transactions are recorded in line with applicable accounting

standards and policies.

Ownership and completion of monthly balance sheet reconciliations for FC review.
Provision of articulate commentary to explain movements and trends in OpEx to both

senior Finance and non-Finance staff members.

Supporting with Group Reporting and the preparation of financial reporting packs for

public filing in the US

Assistance with annual statutory audit(s), coordinating with external auditors to allow

for timely completion in accordance with internal and external deadlines.

Supporting with budgeting and forecasting as required.
Constructive and proactive input into project work, including identifying and

implementing improvements to existing systems, policies and procedures.

Assistance in any other assigned projects
Adhoc query resolution
To provide cover for the duties performed by other members of the accounts

department as may be required

QUALIFICATIONS /

EXPERIENCE:

This role requires a strong accounting skillset (ideally ACCA qualified or similar), and

previous experience of either audit or management accounting.

The successful candidate will have previous exposure to a fast paced finance

environment and be able to manage their work load accordingly;

Will be self-motivated, eager to learn, and be able to work under pressure to meet

deadlines,

Will have commercial acumen and a good eye for detail, coupled with a strong

academic background;

Will have excellent communication skills and have the ability to liaise with both

finance and non-finance functions;

Will be computer literate with good excel skills and solid understanding of accounting

software.

Will have the ability to work autonomously and independently, and exercise initiative

and good judgment.
