- Develop and implement maintenance strategies specific to food manufacturing facilities.

- Coordinate and oversee repairs and troubleshooting activities, ensuring timely resolution.
- Maintain a well-organised inventory of spare parts and establish vendor relationships for efficient procurement.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with food safety regulations, including HACCP, GMP, and FSMA.
- Implement and maintain proper sanitation and cleaning procedures for equipment and facilities.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and resolve safety and quality-related issues.
- Collaborate with quality assurance and operations teams to implement corrective actions.
- Develop and manage the maintenance department's budget.
- Monitor expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and optimize resource allocation.
- Evaluate and recommend the purchase of new equipment or upgrades to existing machinery.
- Proven work experience as a Maintenance Manager in food manufacturing, preferably within a similar industry.
- Excellent knowledge of food processing equipment, machinery, and facility maintenance.
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and quality standards.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, able to effectively manage and motivate a maintenance team.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in using computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant software.
