Programme Manager - Cambridge, United Kingdom - TTP

    Default job background
    Full time
    Description

There aren't many Programme Managers like you. Because very few have worked on Active Implantable Medical Device development. Fewer still have led projects to develop and prepare an AIMD so that it's ready for transfer to manufacture. With TTP, you could test your specialist skills on the most complex product development projects by partnering with the world's most ambitious companies. Together, we'll create breakthrough neurotechnologies for conditions such as epilepsy, sleep apnoea, Parkinson's, tinnitus, and chronic pain.

The global innovation race within neurotechnology presents exciting new opportunities for medical device development. Your technical insights and operational oversight will help shape TTP's strategy and bespoke consultancy solutions for clients in this niche.

You'll get to lead the design and transfer to manufacture of complex active implantable medical devices - from proof-of-concept through to market launch. You'll oversee a diverse and fascinating range of front-end projects in this rapidly developing field. Each new discovery will have a far-reaching impact.

Working closely and strategically with our Neurotech Team Lead, you'll help consolidate and cultivate TTP's customer base in this market, building and mentoring a team of technical experts with the potential to grow further and support other parts of TTP's Health Tech business.

It's a role that combines the best of technical engineering with strategic project leadership.

    Responsibilities

This newly created role is integral to our goal of realising the extraordinary opportunities available within the Neurotech domain. You will be primarily responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of projects for TTP's clients and growing the team's capabilities through supportive mentoring. You'll be regularly encouraged by colleagues to share your lived experience of medical device development.

    Other key objectives and responsibilities:

    • Project leadership - including program management, technical leadership, resource management, and client relationship management. Mentoring and supporting the development of Project Leaders within the Health Tech Business Unit. You'll also get to support business development by meeting potential clients, putting together project plans, and writing proposals.
    • Operational responsibility - for the delivery of projects on time, to budget, and to the client's satisfaction.
    • Regulatory advice and risk mitigation - drawing on your experience of developing and launching medical devices, you'll also be able to advise colleagues and clients on the appropriate product development and regulatory processes. Your insights into risk management will directly impact design and manufacturing decisions.
    • Strategic insight - Contributing to the strategy for the Neurotechnology market team to enhance TTP's Active Implantable Medical Device (AIMD) product engineering capabilities over the next 3 years.

    Requirements

We don't focus on job titles at TTP, so we're inviting applications from a range of backgrounds for this role – you might currently call yourself a Systems Engineer, a Programme Director, or a Project Director. We're more interested in the experience you would bring to the role than the job titles you've held.

You're likely to be invited to interview if your application includes:

    • Details of how you have led the engineering of more then one novel AIMD from development through to clinical trials or product launch.
    • Evidence of leading similar projects at another consultancy or medical devices company.
    • A system-level understanding of neuromodulation device design and risk management, having worked under or equivalent).
    • A degree or equivalent in a technical discipline such as engineering or a related discipline with a track record of academic excellence.
    • During the interview process, you'll also be encouraged to demonstrate your communication skills and your ability to explain complex concepts to technical audiences.

    Why TTP?

At TTP, you'll get to tackle problems that make a tangible difference on a global scale. Every step of the way, you'll be supported by multi-disciplinary teams of scientists, engineers, and designers. The whole structure of TTP is designed to help you thrive.

We're a business of individuals – however, it's our deep-seated curiosity around technology that brings us together, and it drives what we do.
