Description
As Claims Property Manager you will have responsibility in your line of Business reporting to the Head of Claims P&C Belgium.
When required they will assess, handle, negotiate, adjust, and settle complex claims ensuring successful resolution.The role also involves offering advice and (strategic) help to the Head of Claims BE, the Lead Underwriters and their own claims staff.
Working in conjunction with the Head of Claims and the other (claims) local claims managers, you are responsible for supporting the Head of Claims in the developing and delivering of the local MS AISE Claims strategy.

You will participate in the identification and implementation of quality controls to improve claims business performance across MS AISE.
Strategic and Operational PerformanceImplement the Global Claims strategic plans, liaising with the Head of Claims P&C Belgium to ensure understanding and delivery of the strategic objectives
Being responsible for the technical performance of your team ensuring service standards and claims authority levels are adhered to, following up with Head of Claims P&C BE and other Claims Managers to discuss performance and agree improvements where appropriate.
High Performance Management:
Drive a high performance management culture within the claims function that effectively manages performance issues.

Work with Head of Claims P&C BE, other CM and your staff to inspire, motivate and engage talented individuals to ensure retention and succession.
To ensure delivery of the AISE and local Claims philosophyBusiness Performance Management:
To manage and monitor the claims process, implementing standard procedures to ensure that there is a consistent approach to claims handling.
Map out, communicate and ensure claims management responsibilities are embedded within the team and that they are allocated accordingly.
To consider and manage Conduct Risk within all parts of its business and ensure effectiveness of processes in place to ensure fair customer outcomes.
Conduct at all times in accordance with the Company Business Ethics Policy, and the MS AISE Core Values.Monitor and manage the activities of claims staff with both the internal controls (Procedures manual) and any external regulatory requirements.
Monitoring:
Ensure that all claims are handled, where appropriate within applicable laws and regulations.
Share responsibility for all claims handling procedures and monitoring within the claims area
Ensure regulatory reporting requirements are achieved, for internal and external purposes
Claims Management:
Responsible for effective claims account management
When required chair and conduct team meetings, ensuring that claims personnel are informed of relevant issues and opportunity for discussion is available.
To monitor and ensure that staff are aware of and work in conjunction with Claims procedures.Regularly review output on the portfolio handled from a claims perspective, ensuring that there is supporting and adequate documentation of claims undertaken.
When required to meet with brokers and service providers where required to discuss existing claims or contract developments, both in an agreement and non-agreement role.
Claims Adjusting:
To be prepared to adjust specific complex claims in accordance with agreed authority limits and in line with current MS AISE claims procedures and service standards.
To ensure that an effective process is in place so that all avenues for recovery or subrogation have been investigated, evaluated and pursued during the lifespan of the claim.
Ensure that any suspicious claims are being reviewed and thoroughly investigated and reported to the Counter Fraud Unit in accordance with MS AISE Anti-Fraud policyTo meet with brokers to discuss existing claims / account development
