    Senior Finance Manager | Hyper Growth SaaS Start-Up

    The Client

    Harmonic are delighted to be working on a retained basis with one of the UK's fastest growing Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) start-ups following a massive £21m Series A fundraise. Sitting in the B2B SaaS space they have developed a product which dramatically improves a clients capability to process complex real time data, allowing businesses to harness data without needing to invest in significant in-house functions as they scale.

    As the 'first movers' in the space they have attracted major VC interest and are proud to boast a selection of the world's top VC funds as their initial investors. With a track record of investing in some of the most famous SaaS success stories and Tech Unicorns, they are forecasting significant international expansion in the UK, USA, and Europe with ARR more than doubling YoY.

    With a hugely impressive Founding team renowned amongst their network of developers and clients, they have been able to win major clients including Just Eat, Honda, IKEA, NBC and HelloFresh.

    Culturally, the team is globally distributed with most of the leadership team and headcount based in the UK, where they've just moved into a fantastic new office space in Central London. They're ultimately building a team of smart, passionate, and ambitious people that are excited by the opportunity for growth both personally and professionally as they aim to build the next SaaS success story.

    The Role

    Reporting to an excellent CFO with a track record of helping to scale multiple SaaS start-ups in London, they are looking for a Senior Finance Manager to support the build out and management of the Finance function. This is an incredibly broad and hands-on role that will work closely on developing FP&A, Financial Modelling and the budgeting and forecasting process alongside the CFO, as well as creating and driving the improvement of end-to-end accounting practices, Management Accounting, Month-End and Financial Reporting. With significant exposure to the wider business and Leadership Team there is scope to drive commercial performance in a Business Partnering capacity.

    There will also be the chance to support the CFO with fundraising projects (Series B in the next 12 months) and international expansion projects with a clear route to Head of Finance and Finance Director positions.

    • Create and drive the improvement of end-to-end accounting practices
    • Establish excellent month end and management accounting processes
    • Build out financial planning and analysis (FP&A) alongside the CFO
    • Implementing new financial controls and processes to ensure 'best practice'
    • Establish an effective budgeting process
    • Consistently look at new Software and systems to automate manual day-to-day accounting tasks
    • Establish and produce rolling forecasting
    • Provide effective Business Partnering to in house teams
    • Support the CFO with the production of longer-term strategic planning
    • Support the CFO with Investor and Board reporting and future fundraising projects (upcoming Series B)
    • Implement insightful SaaS KPI's and analysis to drive improved decision making
    • Support the CFO with the development of world class financial modelling
    • Liaise with auditors and third-party advisors to deliver tax returns and global tax compliance
    • Build, mentor and develop an excellent team as the business grows
    • Extensive ad-hoc projects to support the business as they grow and as the finance function expands

    What we need to see (Essential):

    • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
    • Experience in a Tech start-up or scale-up (SaaS preferred)
    • Extremely smart with a flair for financial analysis
    • Incredibly ambitious with a desire to continue learning
    • Excited by start-ups and an understanding of what start-up life involves
    • Willingness to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in across Finance

    What we would like to see (Bonus):

    • Transaction Services experience preferred (they are open to someone moving from Practice)
    • Understanding of SaaS KPIs and metrics
    • Exposure to both FP&A and Financial Control

    Salary: £80,000 - £90,000 + share options

    Location: London with hybrid working model (2/3 days a week in the office)
