Electrical Craftsperson – Saffron Walden
About the role
We are looking for an electrical craftsperson to join our small but diverse maintenance team in Saffron Walden. You will have the opportunity to work alongside the operations team on site to ensure the day to day electrical maintenance and testing on the Pipeline System to ensure it is working safely along with working methodically to ensure that all other facilities, plant and equipment are maintained in an efficient working manner. In addition, you will carry out regular maintenance of LV distribution small power and lighting, emergency lighting and fire alarm testing and Electrical periodic inspection and testing to BS 7671 and BS 60079 including Hazardous area electrical inspection and testing work in accordance with procedure.
While the role is mainly Monday to Friday 08.00 – 16.00 due to the nature of our business you will be needed for overtime when required for out of hours break downs and emergencies.
About You
In order to join our team, you will need to possess 5 C (or equivalent) GCSE's along with the ability to understand the reasons for and applications of a variety of safety management processes such as Permit to Work, Safety Critical Tasks and Risk Assessments.
In order to succeed in the role, you will need to hold CompEx, 2394 and 2395 and 17th Edition IEE Regulations and be BS7671 qualified.
