    At IAG Loyalty we enable people to enjoy incredible experiences by collecting and redeeming the iconic Avios currency, and our Product & Data Department is leading our transformation into a data driven, loyalty products and services business.

    We're focused on creating industry leading customer and partner services, role modelling agile ways of working and creating efficient, effective, personalised products.

    You'll be the Technical Lead for our Redemption Data Product, consuming all redemption data from our reward platform and redemption partners systems and publishing business critical reports and datasets that enable the business to run and grow performance.

    The role is truly collaborative, working with key stakeholders to understand data enhancements/requirements to deliver a business-critical product and drive continuous improvement in all key areas.

    As the Technical Lead, your role will involve defining the technical vision, roadmap, and strategy for the data product in collaboration with core engineering and the product owner.

    You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and designers, to design, develop, and deliver a robust and scalable data product.

    Providing technical leadership and guidance, you will ensure the successful execution of the product roadmap by driving the implementation of data pipelines, data processing algorithms, and analytics frameworks.

    Additionally, you will oversee testing, quality assurance, and deployment processes to ensure the reliability and high performance of the data product.

    By setting and enforcing coding standards, architectural principles, and development best practices, you will maintain a high-quality, maintainable, and efficient codebase .

    In addition to providing guidance and frameworks to data engineers and developers, you will offer technical guidance, coaching, and performance feedback to help them excel in their roles.

    Furthermore, you will stay abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and best practices, ensuring that the team remains at the forefront of industry advancements and can leverage the most relevant and cutting-edge tools and techniques.

    Experience of Data products – understanding its importance and ensuring all key decisions are data-driven and customer validated.
    Experience working with SnowFlake & Tableau
    Experience with the AWS Data Ecosystem (Glue, Lambda, Athena, DynamoDB, Sagemaker, Apache Parquet, S3)
    A background in Data Engineering with familiarity working with Terraforms
    Proficiency at generating high quality technical documentation
    Strong analytical skills, to troubleshoot and solve complex data problems
    Experienced working with Agile frameworks and methodologies
