Assistant Events Manager, OxfordAQA - Oxford University Press

    Default job background
    Description
We are the world's largest university press. We have both a worldwide reach and a personal understanding of local needs, partnering on the ground to adapt publications and resources to meet the individual needs of communities, societies, and countries. We partner with researchers, educators, and technology partners to stay ahead of the changing ways people around the world are accessing and sharing knowledge. With a presence in more than 50 countries and millions of customers around the world, an idea launched at OUP can have global impact.

OxfordAQA is the international exam board that puts fairness first, giving every student the best chance to show what they can do. We are a partnership between Oxford University Press (a department of the University of Oxford) and AQA, the UK's largest provider of GCSEs and A-levels. We share the same values and aspirations as all great schools and teachers and we're proud that many schools see us as their partners, not just their exam board. Find out more here.

    About the Role

As our new Assistant Events Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the coordination and delivery of a varied portfolio of high-quality international events for OxfordAQA, including promotional launch events, subject-specific in-person workshops and professional development webinars, working closely with the Events Manager.

This will involve liaising with internal and external stakeholders, contributing to event planning, analysing and reporting event data and feedback, monitoring budgets and ensuring maximum ROI through the appropriate planning, promotion and follow-up of each event.

A typical day in this role might include a selection of the following: webinar hosting/moderation, working with an event trainer to ensure a successful visa application, arranging international travel, meeting with colleagues and stakeholders to plan future events, analysing and interpreting data and feedback from past events ready for presentation to stakeholders and participating in team meetings.

Please see the attached job description for a full list of duties and responsibilities.
