Description
A fantastic voluntary opportunity has arisen to appoint a Chair of the Education and Governance Services Committee at Peterhouse School in Southport.
As the Chair of the committee you will play a crucial role in leading the current education committee at Peterhouse ensuring that statutory requirements and regulations for Education Services are met, and that service resources are used effectively.
With contributions from the board you will work towards ensuring exceptional standards are met for the Education of young people who attend Peterhouse School.
Ideally you will be already familiar with current OFSTED frameworks and requirements for Education services and will have the knowledge of working towards these set requirements.
This is a voluntary role and will include attending meetings at the school several times per month. It would be ideal for someone with an Education and leadership background.The role of chair is crucial to the effective functioning of the governance committee, while providing clear direction and leadership the chair will not act in isolation but will encourage the board to work together to form an effective team.
The chair would be expected to work within/to the revised Ofsted framework ensuring there is clear evidence of the following criteria:
ensuring that members work as an effective team and understand their accountability and the part they play in service development.
