    Description

    The Role:
    The role will also involve break and lunchtime duty. Ideally, the ideal candidate will have previous experience working in an Early Years environment.

    St Mary's C.E Primary School, Washington is a vibrant and welcoming small village school with dedicated staff and students who are enthusiastic about learning. Our school is situated in the South Downs area and boasts various great features such as spacious outdoor areas for learning, a Forest School, and a swimming pool.

    The position is term-time only, from 8:30 am to 1:15 pm, five days a week, totaling 23.75 hours. It is a temporary contract starting from September 2, 2024, until July 22, 2025.


    Pay:
    £11.79-£11.98 per hour (Grade 3 points 3-4) depending on experience.


    The ideal candidate should have:

    • Experience in Early Years education
    • Interest/experience in phonics and early reading development
    • Willingness/ability to engage in training and support through online platforms

    The successful candidate must:

    • Demonstrate strong connections with children
    • Maintain high standards for achievement and behavior
    • Collaborate with the class teacher and Inclusion leader
    • Be organized, efficient, and adaptable
    • Work effectively within a team
    Hold GSCE Grade 5 (or higher) or equivalent in English and Maths. Our school provides:
