    JobSummary

    We are seeking a capablecandidate to fill the role of Vice President European FinancialController in the European Union. The Controller is responsible forensuring that strong controls are in place and are functioning asexpected. Additionally the Controller is expected to foster anenvironment of continual process improvement. This role willfurther advance the finance organization as one that continues toevolve to better meet the needs of our business teams.

    Responsibilities

    • Ensures integrity andaccuracy of financials for the Region/BU supported and has primaryresponsibility for ensuring company compliance with external andCorporate accounting requirements
    • Guidesfinancial decisions related to business transactions includingacquisitions and investments by providing accounting/regulatoryadvice and by establishing monitoring and enforcing policies andprocedures
    • Provides guidance on highly complexand emerging issues and prepares technical accounting memorandumsin response. Consults with Corporate Accounting asappropriate
    • Ensures a strong controlenvironment by establishing monitoring and enforcing operationaland SOX controls based on corporate guidelines and generalgovernance standards. Both support and challenge managers toidentify areas where controls can bestrengthened
    • Leads M&A due diligence andintegration from an accounting & controlperspective
    • Drives continual processimprovement agenda
    • Ensures ongoing compliancewith statutory and regulatory requirements; anticipating futurelegislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; filing financialreports and advising management on neededactions
    • Manages multiple teams providingsupport and guidance and ensuring cohesive teamworkthroughout

    Qualificationsand Experience

    • ActiveCertified Public Accountant or Chartered Accountant or equivalentis a must
    • Bachelors degree in AccountingFinance or related discipline.
    • Strongexperience in accounting controls and financial processes within aglobal organization
    • Strong general accountingknowledge including US & Local GAAP
    • Strongknowledge of Internal Controls and Sarbanes Oxleyregulations
    • Proficiency with accounting &finance systems/software applications
    • Demonstrated business acumen with the ability to provide solutionsthat drive positive results
    • Strong projectmanagement skills
    • Strong analytical andfinancial skills
    • Strong interpersonal andcommunication skills (both verbal and written)
    • Influencer who uses analytical and leadership skills to achievegoals
    • Must be able to integrate knowledgeacross disciplines
    • Demonstrated effectiveleadership with relationship developmentskills
    • Market and industry knowledge withstrong presentation skills
    • Demonstratedability in challenging and improvingprocesses
