Are you a confident and clear communicator, you excited by the opportunity of building a new direction for a company's internal IT capability?Roxhill Media ( is a real-time, data-led media intelligence platform that gives PR and media professionals the tools and insight to understand by whom - and where in the media - their brands, products or topics are being discussed. The PR can then engage and develop mutually beneficial relationships with key figures within the media industry. With over 1,800 Blue chip and corporate clients within the PR industry. Roxhill has ambitious plans to scale up the offering of its products.

    With this rapid growth comes the need to scale up and professionalise our Internal IT systems, to support and protect our growing team.

    We are looking for an IT-architect and administrator to join our operations team.
    The RoleRoxhill is a 75-person organisation. Staff are mainly based around the UK, a few operating abroad, all employed on hybrid, working-from-home/office contracts. The office is based in London, in a 32-seat WeWork office, but with no physical network.

    A mix of Windows and Mac-based devices are in use, with MS Teams utilised for central communications but with documents currently centrally managed via a Business Dropbox account.

    A total overhaul of the internal IT infrastructure, policies and procedures is required.

    Reporting to the COO, you will be confident to design, build, document, rollout and maintain a system with an Entra ID based setup that follows industry / Microsoft best practices.

    This new, stand-alone role is an opportunity for a - preferably - Microsoft365 Certified Administrator to own and design our IT estate.

    Through this process you will ensure that the organisation develops a higher level of digital security, capability and productivity.


    Responsibilities of the role:
    Personnel Productivity:1.

    Setup and train staff to use Microsoft products such as SharePoint (migration from DropBox), PowerBI as well as the standard Office suite.2.

    Configure, administer and support Microsoft 365 for all employees.3.

    Provide 1st and 2nd end-user line support for all PC-based hardware, triaging and troubleshooting IT problems for all colleagues, applications and services.4.

    Author, explain and enforce IT and security policies across the company which encompasses a wide range of IT knowledge, skill and abilities.5.

    Organise onboarding/offboarding in terms of hardware and system authentication as well as regular reviews of permission/access levels.6. Take responsibility for hardware procurement, setup, on-going maintenance, patching and end-user support. Decommission old equipment according to industry standards.7. Conduct regular internal and external staff training sessions for cybersecurity, updates and changes to the MS suite.


    Company Systems administration:
    1. Take a proactive role in continually bolstering the security posture of the organisation and its device/network end-points.2. VPN and 2FA/Passkey setup, training and maintenance.3. BYOD policy and (Entra ID) setup (mainly mobile devices).4. Setup threat monitoring and proactively investigate alerts and take necessary remedial action.5. Help the organisation gain and maintain CyberEssentials and ISO27001 certification and associated documentation.6.

    SSO/SAML integration with third-party and internal SaaS-based services, including the software telephone system, to ensure the secure and optimal usage across the company.7.

    Set-up, configure, administer and maintain Roxhill's SharePoint sites, sub-sites, lists, libraries, and content (including pages, workflows, and items).What skills and experience are we looking for?Knowledge & industry experience
    • Professional Qualifications in MS365 / Azure or Cybersecurity.
    • Expert Microsoft Windows 11 knowledge and operational knowledge of Apple iOS/MacOS platforms would be advantageous.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of practical application of Microsoft 365 products, including Teams / OneDrive / OneNote, administered via Entra ID.
    • Setting up and administration of SharePoint.
    • Up-to-date security threat awareness, prevention and vulnerability management.

    SkillsExperience of central administration of Microsoft 365 (especially Exchange, Entra ID and SharePoint environments).Experience working with ISO standards - preferably in an ISO certified environment, specifically ISO 27001 Information Security Management standards.

    Track record of delivering technical, yet practical, end-user support to a large group.

    A trainer who is personable and a strong communicator, able to capture an audience ensuring full user engagement and ongoing compliance.

    Team player, working across departments, you are able to understand and translate specific needs of an individual into broad IT business requirements.

    Attitude and personal characteristicsA listener, who is a calm, problem solver, and can prioritise necessary actions needed.

    Personable, articulate you can develop relationships with people, informing in a manner that builds trust and credibility, and provide sympathetic end-user support.

    Motivated by, and able to, get things done in the right way, on time and within budget.

    Keen to develop a culture of transparency, delivery, and responsiveness at a 'mission-critical' pace, maintaining trust between the operations team and all stakeholders.

    Fascinated with the computer hardware and the Microsoft suite of products, you will keep up to date with latest developments, and practical applications within the office environment.'Hands-on' by nature, comfortable with diving into problems and delivering solutions.
