    Location: Brixworth, Northamptonshire

    Contract: Permanent – flexible and part-time hours available if desired, just let us know

    What will you be responsible for?

    As Assistant Traffic Engineer, you'll be working within the traffic engineering team, supporting them in the successful delivery of traffic engineering schemes.

    Your day to day will include:

    • Assisting with the planning, development and implementation of traffic engineering schemes and minor improvements to specification, budget and agreed targets while liaising with project teams and clients
    • Developing and producing detailed AutoCad drawings
    • Aiding with preparing bills of quantities, inspection and test plans and suitable scheme pre-construction information
    • Working with other designers to develop technical designs in accordance with approved design procedures and systems

    What are we looking for?

    This role of Assistant Traffic Engineer is great for you if:

    • You have an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Civil Engineering with experience in traffic engineering or highway design
    • Hold a basic understanding of traffic / highway design principles and have the ability to produce drawings in AutoCAD, together with use of Keysign, Keyline and AutoTrack software
    • Have an awareness of health & safety requirements including Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 CDM 2015
