    Job Description Qualified Accountant - Hedge Accounting

    Global Bank

    Location:
    City of London with Hybrid working
    70,000 + Strong Benefits and Bonus

    My client is a leading Global Bank with an exciting new opportunity for a Qualified Accountant to join their Finance team and develop expertise in Hedge Accounting .

    This position provides an avenue to explore the intricacies of major Bank Financial Reporting, fostering proficiency in Hedge Accounting, and creating a center of excellence for the region.

    Your role will involve becoming a specialist in this domain, making substantial contributions to financial reports within a complex, multifaceted global enterprise.

    Analyse and account for hedge accounting activities in accordance with global accounting standards (FRS, IFRS, etc.).
    Prepare and maintain hedge accounting documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance.
    Work collaboratively with traders, portfolio managers, and risk management to develop and implement effective hedge accounting strategies.

    Stay up-to-date on the latest accounting pronouncements and regulatory changes in hedge accountinge financial data, explain business performance and identify growth opportunities.

    Produce timely and accurate financial reports for a range of legal entities.
    Manage complex financial processes and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

    Qualified Accountant with experience in a banking environment.
    Strong technical skills in financial reporting and accounting principles.
    Understanding of legal entity structures and regulations.

    Able to understand new and existing Account Standards and to interpret the impact they will have on the banking group's entities.
