    So why are we looking for a new Service Manager
    Our ambition is for every child in Scotland to be safe, loved and well, together with their family. Children 1st iscommitted to protecting children by preventing harm through abuse and neglect. We will promote their wellbeingby respecting, protecting, and fulfilling children's human rights.
    We have a long history of working with children and families and partners in Moray.

    Children 1st along with ourpartners share a determination to act upon the recommendations from The Independent Care Review and deliver ThePromise to children and young people.

    We are also determined that the full incorporation of the UNCRC means thatchildren will have their rights respected in all areas of their lives and will have a real say in the way theyare supported.

    This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Manager to lead a large, creative and vibrant team. Our Servicedelivers a number of diverse supports alongside children and families.

    Our activities include Whole FamilySupport alongside our Social Work Colleagues creating alternative plans to support children growing up wherethey are safe and loved, and Perinatal Mental Health Support for new parents across Moray.

    Our activity includesboth early help and more intensive supports, all based on quality relationships with children and families.

    We are looking for a resilient Service Manager who can be a strong leader across the service and organisation.

    We need a leader who is in touch with theneeds of children, young people and their families who require support and passionate about their rights.

    Weseek a dynamic manager who can build on the service strengths and create the agile and flexible service childrenand families need.

    What kind of person will make a great Service Manager for Children 1st?
    Has experience of keeping children safe in their own families.

    Someone who can ensure that the child andfamily rights to have their voices heard and considered in decision making.

    Can work autonomously anddevelop quality relationships with colleagues from a wide range of partner agencies.
    Can help assesschildren's and families' situations and is systemic and reflective.
    Someone open to always listening to improve and put quality at the centre ofeverything we do.

    Shares the Children 1st vision for holistic, rights based, trauma informed, wholefamily support that is developed and enhanced by children and family's participation and influence.

    Quarriers have a rare and exciting opportunity for a Head of Business Development & Grants to work in partnershipwith our Associate Directors and Operational Managers to identify opportunities and develop new and existingservices.

    You will manage and work closely with the Business Development & Grants team leading andimplementing development strategies to support growth and funding for the overall organisation.

    This is a part-time post working 18.75 hours per week (half time).

    You will support our Senior Policy Lead through identifying appropriate ways for children, young people and familiesto share their views and experiences around the impact of public sector debt.

    Your research will help frame ourcampaign work and ability to influence stakeholders at local and national government level.

    You will have knowledge of the current Scottish political system at a national and local level with awareness ofsocial justice and anti-poverty policy in Scotland and children and young people's rights such as the UNCRC andThe Promise.

    Barnardo's Highland are developing a new partnership service with the Highland Council, supporting careexperienced children and young people with additional needs.

    This is a new service within Highland which will look at the individual needs of children and young people anddevelop bespoke residential care packages using a right based, trauma informed approach working with the wholefamily around the child.

    The team working with the children will enrich their lives through care, support and activities which will be aimedat raising self-esteem, promoting a sense of mastery, and enabling the children to access experiences that areindividually tailored to their interests and nurture their talents.

    We are looking to appoint a Team Manager to join this service and who has the below experience.
    Experience in working with Children withadditional and complex needs.
    Experience of Leadingand Managing Care Services.
    Ability to demonstrate a strong understanding of child protection,safeguarding and working with vulnerable children.
    The post holder must have an excellent workingknowledge of Children in Care and Care Experienced Young People.

    Providing a 'duty' management role to the service, offering information, advice and support with operationalday-to-day running of the service.

    Ensuring consistent use of policies, procedures andprocesses.

    Attending appropriately to the physical and emotional needs of children and young people,including health and safety aspects of equipment, environment and activities in consultation with Children'sServices Manager.

    To establish fair, respectful, trusting, supportive and constructive relationshipswith parents and children, communicating sensitively and effectively

    The post holder must have the Qualifications relevant to meet the requirement of the Scottish Social Services Council(SSSC) and hold the Registration for the Care Inspectorate, or be willing to work towards this.
