    About the role

    In your role as Operational Risk Analyst you will make a meaningful and valued contribution from the outset. This role will provide a great opportunity to to take your Operational Risk career to the next level within a small team with real hands-on purpose. The role will offer hybrid working, based in the Royal Liver Building in Liverpool.

    This is a fantastic opportunity to join a friendly small team who are looking to add an Operational Risk Analyst to the team. You will work closely with the Operational Risk Manager, assisting in organising and managing the delivery of the Operational Risk Management Framework.

    What you will be doing

    As a trusted part of the Group Risk you will be responsible for:

    Delivering Results

  • Support the continuing development of the Enterprise & Operational Risk Framework
  • Support the development of the control framework standards across the business
  • Support the management of the insurance framework
  • Engage with ad-hoc projects, as necessary to support the Operational Risk Manager to develop and embed the framework within the business
  • Support the Operational Risk Manager in the timely delivery of Committee papers
  • Support the risk training program
  • Perform detailed reviews of events, track remediation and conduct trend analysis
  • Support the development of risk dashboards using PowerBI
  • Act as a key person regarding the Operational Risk system
  • Assist with the review and challenge of the risk registers
    Managing Relationships
  • Support and challenge the pensions business Risk owners and Risk Champions with the identification, assessment and documentation of their risks and controls
  • Network widely with risk professionals to keep up to date with emerging issues and industry best practices
  • Actively participate in the Operational Risk Forum and in the risk event triage meeting
  • Identify opportunities to enhance current risk processes with a particular focus on simplification and automation

    To be successful in the role you will have:

    The successful candidate is likely to have worked in a Risk function, business control function, compliance function or audit function

  • Good communication skills are required
  • Experience of Stakeholder Management
  • Strong interpersonal skills required
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills including excel, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of PowerBI would be useful
  • Experience of Operational Risk management and control frameworks would be beneficial
