    The Technical Release Manager works with our core product Engineering teams and a range of other stakeholders to deliver the release roadmap for the Napier platform.

    Here at Napier, there are multiple work streams and engineering teams, and the Technical Release Manager is responsible for coordinating their output to ensure timely software releases to our customers.

    The role also involves building connections across the business to understand the context and relative priorities of requirements while ensuring that the resulting plan is communicated consistently across the business.

    Clearly and regularly communicating plan progress (and highlighting associated risks and dependencies) to a wide range of stakeholders from across Napier

    ~ Improving the flow of value by assessing and adjusting the practices associated with Lean-Agile, DevOps and a trunk-based Continuous Delivery model

    ~ Facilitating release demos and managing the production of associated collateral such as release notes and configuration guides to a high standard

    ~ Forward-planning access to environments across a competing set of priorities

    ~ Providing input on resourcing decisions to address critical bottlenecks or delivery risks

    ~ Developing ways to measure and improve release cadence, quality, and stability

    ~ Experience of managing software releases to both cloud (multiple vendors) and on-premises customers in a product/SaaS environment, and a deep understanding of the key considerations in terms of deployment, upgrades, support, and migration

    ~ Experience in Agile delivery environments - a track record of constantly looking for ways to do things better and an excellent understanding of the mechanisms necessary to successfully implement change

    ~ Knowledge of DevOps and infrastructure engineering principles and practices

    ~ Understanding of support contracts and commercial obligations, and their relationship to release planning and delivery
