The Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) is looking for an experienced Media Relations Director to join our growing communications and media team.

Wind Energy is one of the most exciting technologies, and fastest growing industry sectors in the world. It is at the heart of the energy transition and efforts to reach Net Zero, with countries around the world agreeing to Triple Renewables at the recent COP28 climate negotiations in Dubai.

GWEC is seeking an experienced media expert to join the Communications Team and tell our story across leading news publications and outlets across the world.

It has a range of partnerships with international institutions and organisations and plays a strong role in international climate forums such as COP. GWEC is also a founding partner of the Global Renewables Alliance (multi technology renewable energy advocacy), the Global Offshore Wind Alliance (with Denmark and IRENA) and the initiator of the Ocean Energy Pathway programme. GWEC also founded the Women In Wind Leadership programme and is active across the world in promoting gender diversity and parity and campaigning more broadly for a Just Energy Transition.

If you are passionate about designing, a communication and media strategy and deploying it at the highest level, then send us a resume today.
