What you'll be doingYou will be responsible for the day to day management of the Outpatient Department, providing leadership to the team of nursing and ancillary staff, while giving necessary professional, clinical practice and motivational support for the team.
During times of absence you will also deputies for the Ward Manager, so having a close working relationship with them is key as well as an understanding of the ward.
As well as working with the Ward Manager, you will also work collaboratively with the Theatre manager to develop the service, establishing the department as a centre of excellence within the UK as a national model of excellence.
You will be required to have strong administration and management skills as the coordination and facilitation of activities on a shift by shift basis is essential to ensure a seamless service to patients and the position has a professional obligation for training and development within the sphere and scope of practice in the Outpatient Department.
