    Description

    Join Our Team as a DV Cleared Senior Database Administrator - Oracle E-Business Suite

    Do you have experience as a Senior Database Administrator and are looking for your next career step? If yes, we have an exciting opportunity for you. We are currently leading a significant transformation project to support the Ministry of Defence's Oracle environment using OCI and Azure. As a key player in this endeavor, we are committed to improving our HR and Payroll services for the Armed Forces.

    Responsibilities:

    • Managing issues and changes arising from live incidents, transformations, maintenance, or approved change requests.
    • Providing support for our Oracle eBusiness Suite through installation, configuration, and maintenance of Oracle database software and related products.
    • Collaborating with developers and system architects to integrate database systems seamlessly with other IT infrastructure.
    • Conducting regular database backups, recovery procedures, upgrades, and patches following standard protocols.
    • Tackling and resolving database-related issues with a focus on timely incident resolution.
    • Documenting database configurations, procedures, and standard practices for efficient knowledge sharing within the team.
    • Offering out-of-hours support as part of an on-call rotation.

    Requirements:

    • Detailed understanding of Oracle database architecture, installation, configuration, and performance optimization.
    • Proficiency in SQL Server.
    • Solid grasp of database security principles and standard procedures.
    • Experience with Oracle Business Suite.
    • Familiarity with WebLogic.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Oracle certifications (e.g., OCA, OCP).
    • Knowledge of Oracle Cloud and other cloud-based database solutions.
    • Active DV Clearance.
