    Description

    Job Title:
    Team Manager Highways Contract & Capital Delivery
    Contract Length: 3-6 month initial interim contract

    Location:
    London based Local Authority
    Minimum 2 days a week on-site

    An exciting opportunity to work with one of Baltimore's established clients in the London as they look to secure an experienced highways professional to lead as a Team Manager on an interim basis.

    Reporting to the Head of Service, you will help deliver a cost effective highways and transport service that meets governance and regulatory requirements, whilst meeting the needs of the community and supports the councils corporate priorities.

    Responsible for the financial management of the team budget as well as the capital expenditure budgets.
    You will have oversight and management of the Contract & Capital Delivery Service that is made up of the follow teams:
    Traffic Survey
    Land Survey
    Highway Maintenance

    You will lead the team on various projects that include Maintenance programmes, Street Lighting Capital Renewal programmes and Local Implementation Plans.

    Traffic Management Act, Highways Act, New Roads & Street Works Act, Road Traffic Act and Countryside & Rights of Way Act.

    A proven track record of operating at this level within local government highways and transport.
    An ability to manage high profile projects and priorities, whilst able to successfully lead teams and departments.
