We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Doncaster is a category B local resettlement prison situated in South Yorkshire. Doncaster houses a male population of up to 1145 individuals, approximately 200 of whom are young offenders aged 18-20.

Salary

This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to 46,200per annum - depending on experience.

Qualifications You are required to be a full qualified nurse with current NMC registration

Main duties of the job

As a Senior Primary Care Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will

Lead a multi-disciplinary team to deliver a nurse led service and prevent hospital admissions

Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening.

Qualifications required

Registered nurse Adult

Current professional qualification (NMC)

Evidence of Continued Professional Development

Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working

A non-judgmental and compassionate approach

Excellent communication skills

Understanding of clinical governance, health and safety, QOF, EBP and national standards
