    Description

    Role: Senior Cloud and Data Architect/Evangelist

    Location: London, UK

    Role Type: Permanent

    About this role:

    As a Senior Cloud and Data Architect, you will play a crucial role in driving the strategic direction of cloud and data architecture within the organization

    Responsibilities:

    • Utilize years of experience in DWBI, Big Data, and Cloud Technologies.
    • Implement and provide hands-on experience in either Azure, AWS, GCP, Snowflake, or Databricks.
    • Hands-on experience on at least 2 Hyperscalers (GCP/AWS/Azure platforms) and specifically in Big Data processing services (Apache Spark, Beam, or equivalent).
    • In-depth knowledge of key technologies like Big Query, Redshift, Synapse, Pub Sub, Kinesis, MQ, Event Hubs, Kafka, Dataflow, Airflow, ADF, etc.
    • Provide excellent consulting experience and contribute actively to RFP responses.
    • Act as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all technical discussions across industry groups.
    • Design and lead solutions for clients, demonstrating entrepreneurship skills.
    • Possess excellent ETL skills and data modeling skills.
    • Define monitoring, alerting, and deployment strategies for various services.
    • Having knowledge of Jenkins, Terraform, StackDriver, or any other DevOps tools.
    • Design and implement effective database solutions and models.
    • Evaluate database structural necessities by assessing client operations, applications, and programming.
    • Recommend solutions to improve database systems and ensure compliance with regulations.
    • Oversee data migration from legacy systems to new solutions.
    • Conduct training and provide support to staff members.
    • Respond to system problems in a timely manner.

    Requirements:

    • Strong knowledge of database structure systems and data mining.
    • Proficiency in systems development life cycle, project management approaches, design, and testing techniques.
    • Expertise in data modeling, SQL development, and database administration.
    • Ability to implement common data management and reporting technologies, Columnar and NoSQL databases, data visualization, unstructured data.
    • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
    • Leadership skills with the ability to lead and mentor teams.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (preferred).
    • Relevant certifications in cloud technologies, data management, or related areas (preferred).
