Our technical environment is Microsoft centric with core systems of Dynamics 365 CE, Dynamics 365 Finance and Office 365 integrated with a range of in-house developed Azure deployed services and portals, and a Windows based mobile platform for our 700 strong team of field-based Engineer Surveyors.
This core responsibility of this role is to be the lead developer building new apps and help maintain and improve existing ones.
You will need to be able to communicate effectively with both the business users of the apps that you deliver and members of the IT team.

to find ways to use Microsoft technology to make our customer services even better and our operations more efficient.
Important:
If you are not already a Power Platform developer,we are open to recruiting someone with a C# or SharePoint development background who is interested in expanding their skillsfor a period working with Power Platform technology.
We have other C#, DevOps and project management roles available in our IT team, sothis role could be a stepping stone into them.
Building new and enhancing existing SharePoint and Power Platform business applications.Integrate Power Platform appswith a variety of data sources including CDS, SQL Server, SharePoint and various applications exposing APIs.
Supporting and taking hands-on responsibility for solution deployment and provisioning activities (including out of hours and at weekends on occasion)
Working with our DevOps team and supporting the improvement of our software development tools, frameworks and processes with a particular focus on adapting them for SharePoint and Power Platform technologies
Demonstrating a deep knowledge of multiple Microsoft technologies and how they can be applied to solve business problems and create new business opportunities
The contribution made to evolve our software development processes to encompass Power Platform application delivery
Your contribution to building to a collaborative, innovative and supportive environment within the IS team and with the wider business operations team

Development experience building Power Platform apps and evolving them
At least 3 years' experience as a software developer, ideally working with Microsoft technologies
A strong delivery focus complemented by good planning and estimating skills
1-2 years of professional software development experience in using Microsoft technologies (e.g. C# or SharePoint) with DevOps tools & practices
Strong appetite for keeping track of new technology trends, especially around Microsoft technology, and identifying opportunities to deliver new solutions that add business value
Solution delivery experience building on Microsoft data sources (e.g. CDS, SQL Server, SharePoint) and RESTful services
Source code management with GIT or similar and experience working across Office 365,SharePoint, Azure PaaS services and ideally Dynamics 365.
Qualifications & training:
Microsoft CRM / 365 technicalcertifications (desirable but not essential)
Degree (or equivalent Level 6 qualification) in Computer Science, Maths, Physics or other technical subject (desirable but not essential)
